Danielle will be replacing the current ICS Chair, Professor Sir Chris Ham, who chose not to seek the role of ICB Chair-designate.
Professor Sir Chris Ham said: “I am delighted to welcome Danielle as the new chair of the Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care System. She brings extensive experience from her work with Healthwatch and as an NHS chair in Dudley, Walsall and currently the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. Danielle’s expertise in partnership working will be a huge asset as we work towards becoming a statutory body in April 2022.”
Danielle has a strong leadership background in strategic development, stakeholder engagement and transformational change spanning the public, private and voluntary sectors. She is currently the Chair of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, a role she will continue with, and previously has held positions at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, Healthwatch Birmingham and Healthwatch Solihull as well as Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.
Danielle continues “I will be undertaking this role in conjunction with remaining the Chair of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. I anticipate that these two roles will be complementary, the experience of each enhancing my ability to deliver the other and allowing me to share innovation and experience across our region.”
Phil Johns, ICS Lead and Accountable Officer for NHS Coventry and Warwickshire CCG said: “I’m pleased by the appointment of Danielle Oum to the role of Chair of the Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care System. Her experience of working with diverse communities and tackling health inequalities will be invaluable to our health system as we continue to address the current challenges facing health and social care.”
