Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospitals Birmingham have joined together to put on a virtual experience which is aimed at those in year 11 and above. The session aims to give an insight into four specialities within the NHS to equip young people with the tools to make informed decisions about their future. The non-clinical insight session will focus on Finance, Informatics, Information Technology and Human Resources, all of which offer a fulfilling career combing knowledge and communication skills and the opportunity to engage with professionals of all levels.

The session will be held virtually on Wednesday 23 February – 9.30-3pm. To join the session participants will need to request an application form by emailing bsmhft.workexperience@nhs.net, returning the completed form to the same address.  If applicants do receive a reply, this will mean their application is unsuccessful.

Speakers will talk through what a typical day looks like within their department, then participants will have the opportunity to put questions to the speakers. This is an amazing opportunity to meet professionals who can answer important questions about a career in their department.
