Our Chair, Danielle Oum, has taken the difficult decision to resign from her role as Chair with us at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Danielle has served as Chair since November 2020 and has decided that now is the time for her to relinquish the role as Chair of our Board to concentrate on her work/life balance and her other roles.
Danielle has been instrumental in helping us embed our Five Year Strategy and establish our ambitions including to be an anti-racist, anti-discriminatory organisation. Her passion for equality has been at the forefront of her Chairing of our Trust and we must take this opportunity to express our gratitude for her considerable contribution to our progress during her tenure.
We will be working closely with our Board of Governors over the coming months to appoint a suitable replacement for Danielle and, in the interim, our Vice-Chair, Philip Gayle will assume the role of Chair.
