Mental health services over Christmas and New Year

Over the festive period some of our services will be affected by bank holiday closures. Please read below for more information about how you can get support over Christmas and New Year.

All inpatient wards, home treatment teams, assertive outreach teams will operate as normal over the Christmas period. Rapid Assessment, Interface and Discharge services based at acute A&E departments in Birmingham will also operate as per normal.

All other community services will be closed on December 25, 26 and January 1, 2014.

If you are already known to our services and experience difficulties during these times please contact our Trust switchboard on 0121 301 0000 where you, or a carer will be able to request support from a home treatment team, if appropriate.

If you are not known to our services in the first instance please contact your GP through their out of hours services provision. If you are in urgent need of support you will be able to access our Rapid Assessment, Interface and Discharge service at A&E departments within Birmingham.

Other services such as GP practices and pharmacies will also be affected over Christmas so please make sure you have stocked up on your regular medication and are aware of their operating times.
