Care Quality Commission inspection of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust

The Care Quality Commission will be inspecting Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust from Tuesday May 13 2014.

The inspection team would be very interested in hearing from anyone who has used the trust’s mental health services in the last 12 months about their experiences.

They are also keen to hear the evidence from local voluntary and community groups about the quality and safety of care at this mental health trust. You can send reports, people’s stories of care or other evidence your group holds about people’s care.

You can send evidence of high quality care as well as any concerns you have identified. They will use your information to help the inspection team plan the inspection and what to look for on the inspection.

You can contact the inspection team by emailing mhinspections@cqc.org.uk or you can ring 03000 616161. Please put the name of the trust in the title of the email to help them pass it to the right inspection team.

The inspection team will ask these five questions about the trust and its services:

  • Is it safe?
  • Is it effective?
  • Is it caring?
  • Is it responsive to people’s needs?
  • Is it well-led?
