Colourful running for Caring Minds

Published: 15/07/2014

Four BSMHFT staff members will be adding a splash of colour to their lives next month as they take on the Birmingham Colour Run, raising money for our Trust charity Caring Minds.

The Colour Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique colour race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, individuality, and giving back to the community. It’s a 5km, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colours at each kilometre.

The colourful fun event heads to Birmingham for the very first time this year and will be taking place at the NEC on Saturday, August 16.

More than 8,000 participants are expected to take part in the event, which douses runners with colour after every 1km and culminates in a ‘Colour Festival’ at the finish line.

This is a really fun way to help raise money for our charity. If you want to support them along the way, you can donate to the team through their online fundraising page here.
