Equality and Diversity at the top of the agenda for BSMHFT

Published: 16/05/2014

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust has been chosen as one of only 21 partner trusts to become an NHS Employers Equality and Diversity Partner for 2014/15.

Gaining partner status meant that the Trust has been deemed at the forefront of embedding equality and diversity good practices within the organisation.

Over the next year BSMHFT will work alongside partners to strengthen our equality and diversity framework, engaging with staff, service users and the local community. We will also share good practice and learning with other trusts who have also gained partner status.

Equality and Diversity

Bruno Daniel, Senior Equality and Diversity Lead commented: “We are delighted to be selected as an NHS Employers Equality and Diversity Partner. It’s a great testament to our work around equality and diversity, which is set to grow over the coming year.

"We are particularly looking forward to working with other colleagues to embed diversity and inclusion within the Trust.”
