All of this will be held at The Bond, 180-182 Fazeley Street, Digbeth, Birmingham, B5 5SE. This is within the Eastside regeneration area of Birmingham city centre.
The aim of Arts All Over The Place is to bring together people with mental health problems, their families, friends, artists and health providers to encourage and increase service users’ participation in the arts.
Get involved
If you are an individual with experiences of mental health issues, an artist, community group and company/specialist within the mental health sector, then there are a number of ways you can get involved.
If you would like a free opportunity to have any framed visual art work and sculpture or poetry included in the gallery exhibition, please send any images or files of your work with a covering email to artsallovertheplace@yahoo.co.uk. Please note that you (or someone on your behalf) must be able to drop off your work to The Bond on Sunday 4 October between 4-6pm and collect it on Sunday 11 October between 2-4pm.
Nearer the time, Arts All Over The Place will also be looking for volunteers to act as stewards and stall holders for the World Mental Health Day celebrations, so watch this space!
You can also pop along to one of their Mad Hatter warm up events to find out more:
• Thursday 10 September - Mad Hatter's Musicology (featuring local bands and artists)
• Thursday 24 September - Mad Hatter's Wonderland of Laughter (a tribute to Lewis Carroll featuring comedy and poetry).
These events are held at The Sun at the Station, 7 High Street, Kings Heath, Birmingham, B14 7BB and run from 7pm until late. Entrance is £2.
