Urgent care
Urgent care in mental health across Birmingham is changing.  Within Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust an urgent care pathway has been developed to improve patients’ access to urgent mental health assessment.  The Trust has developed partnerships with all of the Acute Hospitals in Birmingham and Solihull, plus the Police, West  Midlands Ambulance Service and 3rd sector organisations in order to deliver an effective urgent care pathway.  At the core of the work is the delivery of the crisis care concordat for mental health, which is ensuring that all persons in crisis receive an appropriate assessment in the right environment, through effective partnership working.
