The NHS Friends and Family Test

You may be asked by our staff how likely it is you would recommend our service to a friend or family member. We are asking this question because many other businesses and organisations ask a similar question to help them measure the success of their service.

The question will be asked by staff across all of our services and there will be a variety of ways you will be able to answer the question, such as using an electronic device with a member of staff, at a kiosk at our busier sites, online or simply by filling in a postcard which will be available at each team within the Trust. You can also find a pdf version of the postcard below for you to download.

We will use your answer to help us to improve our service because we would like to feel that you would always want to recommend us to your friends and family if they were to ever need help with their mental health.

The question we will ask you, and which you can answer now is:

How likely are you to recommend our service to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?

Extremely likely / Likely / Neither likely nor unlikely / Unlikely / Extremely unlikely / Don't know.

We will also be very keen to know why you have given us a particular score. If we ask you in person, it would be really helpful if you would agree to answer a few more questions for us which can tell us more about things we are doing right or wrong for you.

If you have any problems or concerns with our service which you feel we could help you with more, please do not hesitate to contact our customer relations team on 0800 953 0045.
