The Uffculme Centre is adaptable to any style of learning and a wide range of business activity. From counselling training to a lecture theatre seating 100 delegates, we have rooms designed to meet most requirements.
Our main lecture facility is equipped with comfortable tiered seating and the latest in display technology. It boasts a fully integrated Audio Visual system, comprising DVD player, VHS video player and television, object visualizer, PC and laptop links and clear projection technology.
Two further conference rooms off the great hall have no fixed seating, so can be set to a style to suit the occaision. We have data projectors and computers, overhead projectors, screens and all the standard training equipment.
Our designated six delegate IT training suite is a stand-alone, fully-networked environment, allowing the tutor to train on the latest software packages, with integral data projection and an interactive white board synchronised with the tutor’s PC.
e-learning suite
The Uffculme Centre’s e-learning suite is equipped with 9 work stations with TV and DVD facility for research purposes which is located in the upper part of the conservatory which looks out onto the rear gardens.
Clinical Skills
The Clinical Skills facility at The Uffculme Centre is a West Midlands (South) Confederation led initiative, for all Mental Health Services in Birmingham and Solihull. It is aimed primarily at Mental Health Nursing and Allied Health Professional Students for the development of skills for practice. It is also suitable for students from other branches of Nursing, and training is advertised on the Clinical Skills Centre website at the Confederation. Any qualified Nursing or Allied Health Professional may use the Skills Centre for training and skills development.
Uffculme is also fully equipped to provide training in AVERTS (Approaches to Violence through Effective Recognition and Training for Staff).
