The Accessible Information Standard is underpinned by two core principles:
- To embed equality of opportunity and create services and care pathways that reduce wide variations in health outcomes for protected and vulnerable groups.
- To ensure fairness and equity in relation to employment, based on the values of the NHS Constitution.
