Good luck to everyone expecting their A-level and GCSE results!
Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Trust encourage students to look after their wellbeing during exams results time and are providing a number of resources to help.
Awaiting exam results can be very stressful for students and their families. The stress associated with these kinds of feelings can result in physical symptoms, such as stomach ache, increased heart rate, nausea and can then lead to changes in behaviour.
If you or someone you know is feeling stressed or anxious at this time, there are self-help guides available.
If the results you receive are not what you were expecting, there are always other alternatives available. The National Careers Service has an exam results helpline where you can speak to a professionally qualified careers advisor.
The number to call is 0800 100 900. The helpline is open from 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday.
You can also access ongoing support from the National Careers Service.
Also, the NHS Talking Therapies service can provide free and confidential support for people who are 16+.
