An exhibition took place at the Uffculme centre last week, resulting in our charity Caring Minds receiving a donation of £2,075.

Over 10 technology suppliers in the mental health sector were in attendance, including Britplas, Kingsway Group and Design Plan. Often suppliers pay a fee at an exhibition, but his year Martin Germaney, Senior Estates Manager at Summerhill Services Limited (SSL) and organiser of the event suggested that in lieu of a fee, exhibitors instead donate to Caring Minds.

Martin said:

“One of the key highlights for me was being able to raise awareness about Caring Minds, and support opportunities to promote the charity’s work. Attendees at the event stated that the mental health environment exhibition was well received, and so valuable for gaining feedback from experts by experience and staff.”

During the event, Louise John, Caring Minds Charity Manager and Helen Tomblin, Caring Minds Charity Events and Engagement Officer were presented with a cheque by Martin and the supporting companies.

Louise said:

“We were pleased to meet suppliers at the exhibition and hear more about their work in relation to the Trust. We were also delighted to receive such a wonderful amount raised for the charity. If any other corporates or suppliers would like to support to Caring Minds charity in any way, we would love to hear from you. Please email us bsmhft.fundraising@nhs.net.”
