Around 350 people from Birmingham and Solihull are currently in hospital with flu, a serious virus that can have deadly consequences.
Contracting the flu can be particularly dangerous for those who are aged 65 and over, pregnant or diagnosed with a long term health condition. There are different strains of flu, but the best way to protect yourselves and others against it is to get your flu vaccine.
Flu can kill – it is much more than a common cold.
Currently, 127,000 clinically vulnerable people in Birmingham and Solihull have not had their flu vaccine. If you or someone you know is eligible, visit your local Pharmacy or contact your GP today.
