Freedom to Speak Up Guardian, Emma Randle, was featured in the National Guardian Office annual report, Making Speaking Up business as usual.

Within the piece, Emma shares her experience with two trainee nursing associates who separately contacted her because they were worried that they were expected to perform procedures, they were not qualified to do. Emma discovered that our supportive observations policy was difficult to interpret, following this, changes were made that reassured the trainees as they now have clear guidance around conducting observations.
