Consultants are taking industrial action from 7am, Thursday 24 August until 7am, Saturday 26 August as part of their dispute with the Government over pay and conditions.

This industrial action will take place across the healthcare system, impacting work in the general acute hospitals, including A&E. You will be contacted if your appointment needs to be changed.

GP practices will continue to be open during the consultant strike. Please continue to attend your GP and dental appointments, unless you are contacted and told otherwise.
