Our latest staff shoutout for South Asian Heritage Month goes to Support Time Recovery Worker, Janson James.
Affectionately known as JJ, he was nominated by Administrators Hassan Suleman and Luthfa Begum, they said:
“JJ is a very positive person, always smiling and making people laugh. He’s genuinely passionate about his job and helping people. He’s also the most enthusiastic person in the office. There’s never a dull day when he’s around and his energy can light up the room. JJ consistently goes above and beyond to help service users; he has an infectious laugh which everyone around him catches too.
He’s a lovely person to work with and a bright spark to have around you. He is friendly and approachable, and we couldn’t think of anyone else that deserves it more than him!”

“This nomination came as a great surprise; I am very thankful. I am from Kerala, which is a beautiful city located in South India, filled with magical scenery and mouthwatering food. It’s a city where there are thousands of people living there but are united as one because of one word and that is unity.
I would also like to share a short experience which happened in my hometown. In 2018 there was a huge flood and many people lost their homes and it was very difficult to get aid to the city. But because of thousands of great donations from fellow Malayali’s (it is a word to describing someone who is from Kerala) across the world, the city manged to survive this awful natural disaster. During the floods many people fail to recognise the unsung heroes who I would like to share during this nomination, and they are the one and only fishermen… Yes, due to lack of facilities fishermen risked their lives, left behind their families and used their boats to reach out to many people who were trapped and unable to get out.
My mum always wanted me to work in the ICT department, but I chose a different path in helping people. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I realised I should get into the NHS to help as many people as I could. My current role allows me to achieve this on a daily basis. I am an individual who always wanted to grow and help people around me grow. I am very thankful for the support of my past and current team mangers who supported me in aching my dreams of helping people.”
