“I am a second generation Panjabi (Indian) born in Leicester! I love being a Panjabi Sikh woman. As a young person, I found it tricky to navigate my British identify with my ethnicity, culture and religion. However, I grew to find such beauty in the diversity that I come with and have finally been able to embrace myself and all that comes before me.

Free to Be Me – for me, means to be able to bring all parts of myself to anything I do and to not let internal or external barriers prevent me from being my authentic South Asian self.”
