As part of South Asian Heritage Month, today we are shining a light on Tripta Sidhu, Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner at Birmingham Healthy Minds.

Tripta was nominated by Tanya Williams, who said:

“Tripta goes above and beyond in her role of running the South Asian Women’s group for service users. There has been some staff sickness and she still ensured it could go ahead. She always put her service users first.”

Tripta is proud of her Punjabi Sikh heritage. When asked about her heritage she said:

“I have always been very passionate about my community. In 2019, I was awarded by National Institution for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Guideline’s for improving access for South Asian women in accessing psychological therapies. I strongly believe that people who cannot speak English from South Asian heritage, can engage in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) if we use innovative ways to engage with them. I love South Asian music, food, clothes, complementary therapies and weddings.”
